Purpose: Provide administrative support for the District Child Nutrition Program. Assist in the operation of the program to meet regulartory, production and day to day operations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Texas driver's license
Required Skills:
- Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual skills in Spanish/English required
- Ability to work with diverse community populations and communicate effectively with parents.
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word and Excel)
- Ability to interpret and process financial data
Responsibilities:
- Process and maintain district Free & Reduced Applications following United States Department of Agriculture and Texas Department of Agriculture guidelines for meal eligibility and reimbursement of federal funds.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Respond to inquiries, assist students, teachers and parents as needed.
- Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required.
- Complete minimum annual continuing education requirements.
- Develop effective working relationships between the school campuses, cafeteria staff and the community.
- Support district child nutrition operations to ensure high quality and nutritious meals
- Work with campuses to resolve negative balances on accounts
- Other responsiblities as assigned
